First of all, planning ahead is a key part of getting everything you want out of your trip. And we hope you include Glance in your plans! 1. Get to know the Dreamforce Campus

The Dreamforce Campus has over 85 rooms in nine different locations, all located in downtown San Francisco. Familiarizing yourself with the campus prior to the show is paramount in order to properly plan which sessions and events you can realistically fit into your busy schedule.

2. Take advantage of the Dreamforce Agenda Builder

75% of the sessions can be reserved beforehand. You won’t be able to make all of them (considering there are 3,000 of them), so planning is crucial. Make sure to peruse the session schedule in advance and identify the sessions that are specific to your industry, company size, and role. The Dreamforce Agenda Builder will make it easy to build your schedule with new features including being able to search by day, segment, and specific sessions and speakers.

3. Fly with the Dreamforce Jetpack

If you aren’t already excited, the collection of more than 10 Dreamforce downloads included in the Dreamforce Jetpack will inspire you on your way to the show. Downloads include podcast-style keynote recordings, interactive maps, blog posts, e-books, a packing list, and a daily Dreamforce agenda.

4. Bring comfortable attire

Dreamforce is business casual, with emphasis on casual in regard to footwear. The Dreamforce campus is comprised of multiple venues in downtown San Francisco. This means that there will be lots of walking – and maybe even running if you don’t plan properly. Dressing comfortably and functionally is a must at the show.

5. Save some for later

Decide which sessions you don’t need to see live. You can watch the keynotes on the big screen in the middle of the Deamforce campus while you get some fresh air or eat lunch, or you can live stream them on your computer. You can even take Dreamforce home with you and watch sessions later, as all sessions are recorded.

6. Plan to save

There will be plenty of fun things to spend money on at the show. By planning wisely, you can save your money for those items and not the unnecessary ones. Bring your own water bottle, take advantage of free meals, and look up discount codes in advance so you can save on the essentials.

7. Network with customers, prospects, and partners

Networking is a critical part of Dreamforce, right? It’s easier said than done, though. It’s easy to get caught up with managing your company’s booth or making sure your team has what they need. Take the time at this unique event to get some face-time with current customers and partners, in addition to new prospects. Even better, schedule meetings ahead of time. Set up alerts for yourself, so you don’t get caught up in the moment and forget to show up!

8. Think big

While there is no denying that the main goal of attending Dreamforce is to promote your company and build new business relationships, there’s always time to do a little more by giving back. Check out who Dreamforce is partnering with to give back this year and do your part. There’s even a dedicated space in the Dreampark to participate in volunteer activities.

9. Take a deep breath

It’s easy to get caught in a whirlwind at Dreamforce. With four days that start at 8:00AM and go well into the evening, over 3,000 speaker sessions, keynote speakers such as Melinda Gates and Tony Robbins, and evening mixers, it’s easy to forget to take a breather. Relax at the Dreampark and take a moment alone with your thoughts. Are parties more your style of relaxation? Check out this great list of parties and plan accordingly. Make sure you plan your days out to guarantee you maintain a balance.

10. Follow up with new connections

Even a weak lead can become a strong one if you follow up properly after a trade show is over. Segment your new leads. Follow up with specific and relevant content within two weeks after the show to optimize your chance of maintaining your connection.
